Mary Cariola Seeks a President /CEO

Mary Cariola Children’s Center, a nationally renowned agency in Rochester, New York, seeks a President/CEO who is a master motivator and has the passion, drive and vision to lead 600 dedicated employees in nine locations. Besides overseeing a $25 million budget, you will spearhead and develop innovative programs designed to expand the learning opportunities and enrich the lives of children with developmental delays.
You must possess the charisma to enhance and maintain strong relationships with the Center’s students, parents, staff, Board members, volunteers, donors, funders and the Rochester community. You will also play a main role in developing the agency’s long-term plan, as well as leading public relations and fund raising efforts. Additionally, we will count on you to build and inspire the management team, stay ahead of trends in the field and ensure the agency complies with its funders’ and regulators’ requirements.
The President/CEO candidate will offer the following:

Master’s Degree in Human Services, Education or Business field, or equivalent combination of education and experience

Senior executive leadership experience at a not-for-profit

Developmental disabilities experience

Ability to manage change

Strong verbal and written skills

Exceptional fundraising skills

Ability to promote the recruitment and retention of a culturally diverse staff

Skills to navigate the regulatory arena

Mary Cariola Children’s Center, founded in 1949, serves children with multiple, complex disabilities that public and private schools aren’t able to accommodate. The agency strategically maps out a customized plan, clinically and educationally, for every child who comes through our doors. The agency serves nearly 550 children ages 3 to 21 through our Day Program (preschool and school age), Residential Program, Transition Program and Medicaid Service Coordination.
