Volunteer Groups are welcome and encouraged at Mary Cariola. Here are a few examples of how your group can help:

Host a party or picnic:
  • Ice cream social
  • A fall picnic at Mendon Ponds Park

Spring Community Cleanup:

  • Teams of United Way volunteers descend on Agency homes to help paint fences, clear debris, spread mulch, and prepare flower beds:
    • Build a team and request to be assigned to a Cariola site

Help with a holiday event or activity:

  • Corporate teams can (and do) purchase and bring gifts for kids
  • School groups put on Halloween parties with craft activities
  • Mary Cariola Prom is held each spring—volunteers are always needed to:
    • Set up
    • Break down
    • Help during the event

Scout, school, church and corporate groups are welcome! Inquire about one-time group volunteer opportunities.
