NYS Office for People with Developmental Disabilities
The New York State Office for People with Developmental Disabilities provides high- quality services, support and advocacy to approximately 120,000 individuals with developmental disabilities. OPWDD works with a network of nearly 800 not-for-profit providers to help people lead richer lives.
The Arc of Monroe County
For 50+ years, The Arc of Monroe County has been working with and for individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. The Arc offers a variety of services and opportunities designed to increase independence and self-sufficiency and enhance the self-esteem and quality of life of program participants.
Autism Speaks is the world's largest autism advocacy organization, dedicated to increasing awareness of autism spectrum disorders, funding research into the causes, prevention and treatments for autism, and advocating for the needs of individuals with autism and their families.
Institute for Innovative Transition
The Institute provides support to Monroe County community members to effectively address transition issues for individuals ages 14–25 with developmental disabilities.Community members include young adults with developmental disabilities, family members, local education institutions and agencies who provide service to individuals with developmental disabilities.
