“She is an incredible actress, performer and singer,” said her mother, Shoshana. “Music is her life.” Nomi’s acting credits include the lead roles of "Cinderella" and "Snow White" at the NYS School for the Blind, and the role of the Grinch in "Seussical," a musical based on the works of Dr. Seuss. Nomi is a member of The Arc of Monroe County’s Everybuddies Theatre Company, an inclusionary theater company for people with and without special needs.
Accomplishments since arriving at Mary Cariola:
Diagnosed with developmental disabilities, Nomi sometimes lashed out at her parents and younger sister. At age 16, she moved into Mary Cariola’s Fairport, NY, home. Her behavioral incidences are now nonexistent, thanks to Agency staff and a clinical plan tailored to Nomi’s needs.

“She has matured. I know we couldn’t have done it on our own. I think the partnership between us and the home helped Nomi put forth the effort to become the wonderful young lady she is today.”
